The Bachelor of Science programme with a triple major in Botany, Zoology, and Psychology, offered under the State Education Policy (SEP) of Bengaluru City University, is designed to provide students with a holistic understanding of life. By integrating plant sciences, animal biology, and human behavior, the programme enables students to explore the interconnectedness of living systems. This interdisciplinary approach not only strengthens foundational scientific knowledge but also fosters deeper appreciation of the biological and psychological dimensions of life. This unique combination enables students to explore the complexity of living systems, ranging from plant physiology and animal adaptations to cognitive processes and behavior. Students develop a strong foundation preparing them for advanced studies and diverse careers in life sciences, behavioral sciences, environmental studies, healthcare, and research.
The interdisciplinary nature of the course fosters a deeper appreciation for biodiversity, sustainability, and human well-being. By bridging the gap between biological sciences and psychology, the programme equips students with versatile knowledge and skills, making it highly relevant in addressing contemporary challenges related to health, environment, and society.
