IT Club Activities – Department of Computer Science (PG)

The IT Club of the Department of Computer Science (PG) at Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous organized a series of engaging technical and interactive events aimed at fostering innovation, creativity, and collaboration among students. These activities provided a platform for students to present ideas, participate in exciting challenges, strengthen peer connections, and enhance their technical as well as communication skills.

CODECRAFT – Innovative Project Presentation

Date: 29th June 2025

Conducted under the theme β€œWhere Innovation Meets Inspiration,” CODECRAFT served as a project showcase where students presented technology-driven solutions addressing real-world needs.

The projects included:

  • College Resource Booking System
  • Reports Management System
  • Lab Performance Management System
  • YT Christian Matrimony

The event highlighted students’ creativity, technical expertise, and practical problem-solving abilities.

TECHNOVATE – Interactive Technical Event

Date: 30th August 2025

TECHNOVATE was a creative and interactive event organized by junior IT Club members for their seniors, promoting teamwork, communication, and stronger connections among students.

The event included exciting rounds such as:

  • Mystery Zoom: Participants identified zoomed-in images from the college campus.
  • Act It Out: A charades-based activity that encouraged creativity and expressive communication.
  • Decode the Emoji: Teams interpreted emoji sequences into meaningful words or movie titles.

NOVA – Freshers’ Day Celebration

Date: 17th December 2025

NOVA was a vibrant welcome celebration organized by the IT Club Cursor Crew to greet the new batch of students.

The event featured:

  • Solo and group singing performances
  • Energetic dance performances
  • Interactive games such as Only Wrong Answers and the Number Knockdown Game
  • A fashion walk that showcased confidence and individuality among juniors
  • Recognition through titles such as Miss Fresher and Best Dressed

TECHSPHERE – Research Project Presentation

Date: 10th January 2026

TECHSPHERE was an academic event organized by the Department of Computer Science (PG) under the Cursor Crew IT Club, where postgraduate students presented their research projects.

The presentations covered problem statements, objectives, methodologies, and findings. Faculty members offered constructive feedback and valuable suggestions that encouraged critical thinking, improved research clarity, and enhanced the practical relevance of student work.

Tech-IT-Out (22nd July 2024) - An interactive event combining technology and fun through an online tech quiz and a Balloon Blast Task Challenge, promoting quick thinking and engagement.

Seniors Juniors Meet (27th November 2024) - A networking event with games and mentorship sessions, helping juniors connect with seniors and gain academic and career insights.

Innovative Project Presentation (14th December 2024) - Students presented researchbased projects, receiving faculty feedback to refine their ideas and problem-solving approaches.

Fresh Wave – Nurturing First-Year Talents (24th January 2025) A cultural and artistic showcase featuring dance, music, rap, and art, allowing first-year students to explore and display their creative talents.
