Introduction to MA Media Studies Programme:
The MA in Media Studies is a dynamic, postgraduate programme designed to take students from the foundational principles of mass communication to advanced, specialized media practices. The comprehensive curriculum covers Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, Graphic and Print Design, Filmmaking, and Generative AI & Content Creation.
A defining feature of this programme is its seamless integration with the college’s Media Incubation Centre, rejecting the traditional boundary between the classroom and the industry. Students need not go abroad to find opportunities to work and fund their own education. The college provides the industry-standard equipment, creative workspaces, cutting-edge technologies, and consultancy support required for professional work. Because this ecosystem is directly integrated into the course, students gain real-time working experience—managing live client projects, executing freelance deliverables, and meeting production deadlines—empowering them to be financially independent and completely job-ready media professionals from day one.
Eligibility for M.A. in Media Studies: Graduates who have secured 40% in the aggregate of all subjects and 50% (45% for SC/ST and category I candidates) marks in the cognate subject in the qualifying University examinations are eligible. Candidates with B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, and BCA Degree are eligible.
