The program aimed to foster a deeper understanding of the science behind artistic materials and paint chemistry, encouraging participants to explore the chemical composition of paints, such as acetone and varnish. It provides hands- on experience by allowing participants to create their own paint mixtures and experiment with altering paint properties. The goal was to connect art and science, helping participants appreciate how chemistry impacts the performance and durability of paints. By the end of the program, students had a greater understanding of painting techniques, scientific principles, and the role chemistry plays in art creation and preservation.
