DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

Vision: To develop leaders who will advocate for diversity and gender equality; and produce highly credentialed and skilled members of civil services and social entrepreneurs.

Mission: To educate a diverse group of globally-minded young girls in the core areas of public administration and to prepare them for successful careers in the public and private sector.

The Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Sociology and Public Administration (ESPA), Public Administration and Economics (PAEC) and Public Administration and Sociology (PASY) has been introduced with an aim to enhance knowledge on the subjects and its relationship with society. the study of these programs provided a clear picture to the students on civil services, general administration, governance, policy formulation and implementation. This course will not only enable students to acquire in-depth knowledge on the subjects but also empower them with administrative skills to be better public or private administrators with social consciousness.

● To provide a strong foundation on the elements of Public Administration and Administrative Thought.
● To provide an in-depth understanding of the Federal Government Structure of India.
● To introduce to special domains and contemporary issues in Public Administration with reference to Public Policy, Local Self Governments, E-Governance, Disaster Management, Comparative Public Administration, Development Administration, Health Administration and Environmental Policy and Administration.

Along with intense focus and reference to scholarly reference materials, the learners are introduced to the actual functioning and the current processes in the theory and practices of public Administration in India.
