1. Proposal selected for the International Colloquium Youth WES (Water, Environment & Sanitation) Leadership IDEA at IIT Madras: Ms. Sarah John of IV Sem BBG was selected to present her proposal on ‘Cost effective treatment of organic wastes in the effluents of small scale industries using Rotating Biological Contacters and its variations’ under the guidance of Dr. Preeti Mangala at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras during the aforesaid colloquium to be held on 10th and 11th March 2013 organized by Centre of Excellence for Change (CEC) in association with IIT, Madras.

Dr. Preeti Mangala has been awarded ‘Glory of India Gold Medal’ and ‘Shiksha Rattan Puraskar’ by Dr. GVG Krishnamurthy, Former Election Commissioner of India and Dr. BhishmaNarain Singh, Former Governor of Tamilnadu and Assam respectively at a seminar on ‘Role of Education in Modern India’ on 30th October 2012 at New Delhi organized by International Institute of Success Awareness (IISA) and India International Friendship Society (IIFS).
