SIP DETAILS – August 2021
The Summer Internship Program provides students, every year, with an opportunity to gain real-world experience of the work environment, build networks, explore career goals, and learn detailed operations of a particular industry. In August 2021, students did their 60-90 day internship at Air India, Manipal Hospitals, Just Dial, Robert Bosch, etc. in various specialization domains.

SIP DETAILS – 2020 - 2021
According to the curriculum framework of MBA in Jyoti Nivas College, the Summer Internship Program for the students of MBA is conducted every year. For the academic year 2020-21, the Summer Internship Program was conducted online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The students prepared their resumes and applied to various organizations on sites like Internshala, LinkedIn etc. for their internships. They underwent online assessments like the aptitude tests and interviews and successfully secured the companies for interning. Students worked in companies of different sector like banks, NGO’s, training, event management, consultancies etc in different roles under finance, human resource and marketing. During the internship program the students were also required to do a research project in their respective domain for the academic purpose.

Although it was challenging doing an online internship, the students have gained a great learning and a virtual work experience in their respective SIP time duration. JNC MBA students got into some of the best rated companies in the industry and to name a few are Hedge Finance, S Balan Group, Glocon Reseacrh Pvt Ltd, Zenobia Marketing Pvt Ltd etc. The projects got evaluated by the best industry professionals and got appreciated for choosing the suitable titles needed for the time. Students bagged lot of appreciation for showing their positivity despite the first lockdown made them to sit at home. The time frame given to the students to do the SIP was 2 months between May to July 2020 and all 59 students have successfully completed it within this time period.



The department of MBA at Jyoti Nivas College not only focuses on bookish knowledge and academics but also on learning through practical experiences. In this regard every student studying in the second year of MBA has to undergo 6 weeks of internship in any organization India or abroad. During the internship period the student’s maintain a record of periodic progress of their internship and will also be in constant touch with their respective guides. At the end of the internship the students have to submit a project which is based on a management topic. The internship was a great learning experience as students learnt relevant skills and experience in their particular fields. They also leant other essential skills like time management, inter – personal skills, presentation skills and etiquettes.

This year the internship was taken up by a total of 55 students in fields such as Finance, Human Resource and Marketing. They were constantly monitored by three lectures of the MBA department – Dr. Percy Bose (HOD – MBA), Ms. Philcy Anthony and Ms. Bella Thomas. Students were offered internships in reputed companies such as Narayana Heath, Air India, Urbanclap, Columbia Asia Hospital, HAL, Schneider Electric IT Business India Pvt Ltd, Indian Oil Corporation, Jana small Bank Ltd., ICS Consultancy, Bangalore City Co – Operative Bank, Zebra Technologies etc.
