Value Added Courses conducted by/offered to MCA students:

Communication Classes:
The students of I semester MCA attended the communication classes conducted by the MA English department. The course helped them understand the different ways a person can translate their thoughts into words. This helped the students to become more confident and to improve their language initially. The course has taught us many priceless things. For example, understanding the importance of statements, understanding that each and every person communicates differently, it helped to speak and write effectively and concisely. It made us realize the fundamentals of oral communication and debate, including research, reasoning and arguments. It allowed students to become more aware of how they present themselves and, most importantly, how to interact with the people around them.

Logic and Life:
30 hours of Bridge course titled “Logic and Life” was offered to the first year MCA students at the commencement of the programme. The course was conducted by the department faculty to provide adequate foundation to understand the relevance of the course and makes the transition easier for the students from UG to PG. The course aim to enhance their coding ability and problem solving skills and to develop interpersonal skills. The topics covered includes Importance of higher education and overview of MCA course , Effective Goal Setting, Information Literacy / Assignment Writing, Design & deliver effective Presentations, Analytic thinking & Problem solving skills, Inquiry and Analysis / Research Skills, Efficient coding practices , Cooperative learning / Group activities , Global Awareness – General / Industry specific, Social responsibility and ethics .The logic and life courses has helped build knowledge, skills and brainpower, discover new passions and has helped students to learn more about themselves, bond with new people and encouraged them to prepare for a better future.
