Women in the Mahabharata, Storytelling Event with Aparna Jaishankar
On April fool's Day the club was definitely not making a fool of anyon. It well and truly delivered, as promised, a fabulous storytelling session with Mrs Aparna Jaishanker who told stories about women in the Mahabharata.

Storytelling is a universal and traditional art form that has been featured strongly in the Indian culture as an effective communication tool and a medium through which much of our myths and traditional beliefs are passed down through generations.

The session started with the introduction of the resource person by Ms Variyata. The session, as the title suggests revolved around the women in Mahabharata whose stories are often neglected or kept in the periphery because it doesn’t revolve around the "valour" of war.

Such household stories of war were narrated to us with creative gestures, facial expressions and vivid descriptions that we could almost envision being present in the scene. The appropriate use of voice modulation, use of sound expressions and body language enhanced imagination and expression and introduced the listeners to new horizons of storytelling. Overall, this session was educative and entertaining at the same time.

"Literary Avial"
Like the dish Avial, "Literary Avial" was an event which was intended to be a mix of all things literary, to engage and let the students enjoy. Held on a piping hot afternoon in April. it had students from both first year and second year participating enthusiastically and enjoying every moment, the heat notwithstanding. The topics in the event included Indian literature, Popular literature and English literature and the activities ranged from 20 questions to Pictionary to dumb charades. The way the audience responded and participated was encouraging and heartfel.. The professors overlooked and also took part in the event adding to the fun. It was a fun learning session.

"Culinary Narratives"
From "Literary Avial" to the culinary was but a natural leap. This event brought together food and stories. Participants were required to bring a food item that holds a personal memory for them and were asked to share the story behind it. The event was divided into two sessions- in the first session the attendees could go around the room and taste the different dishes, in the second session , participants narrated personal anecdotes related to their dishes. What resulted was a representation of a flavourful mixture of cultures and family recipes. The event witnessed a successful participation from the students and the teachers of the department; however the attendees were not limited to the department alone. Office staff and faculty from the M.C.A department thoroughly enjoyed the goodies and the stories.

"The Curtain Call"
This was the concluding event of the year 2021-2022. The event was hosted by Bullick and Variyata. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the various events and activities that were organized by the club. These prizes were distributed by Dr. Roopa Phillip and Dr. Prakrithi H.N. The event concluded with club representatives Samriddha and Noor giving their Litsapp valedictory speech, taking us through two years of experiences as the representatives of the club and how they were able to complete their responsibilities with the help and support of our guide and club in-charge D. Preetha Vasan. This event and the success of all the club events were only possible due to the active efforts and participation of the students and the professors. Therefore, this event was conducted in the spirit of gratitude to all the students and professors for their help and support in making club events successful.
