The Department of M. Com (FA) organises club activities every month named Artha Jyoti. The theme for the club activity for the month of December was VITT VEDA which proposes delivery of finance knowledge through fun filled activities and events.

The Department of M. Com (FA) organises club activities every month named Artha Jyoti. ‘Bankers Hours’ was the theme chosen for the club activity which was scheduled on 29th January 2022. The chief guest for the day was Ms. Sonali Jaiswal, who graced us with her insightful thoughts and experiences on how a corporate career would be a good start for any student in the near future. There were 7 rounds based on financial events and current affairs. The rounds included quiz, rapid fire, Gibrish, currency identifier, image puzzle, and sell an instrument. All events were consolidated and presented to students in an absolute way, so that there was also immense knowledge transformation through practical learning. First and final year students of M.Com(FA) along with first year students of M.Voc (B&F) were a part of this club activity. The event was online but however participants enjoyed and contributed to make it a fruitful 2 hour journey.

The department of M.Com (FA) hosted a club Activity on the 6th of December 2021, Artha Jyoti: theme Finovate Hub this Club activity was the for the 3rd semester organized by the Students of the department of M.com(FA) under the guidance of Mr. Vincent Paul and Ms. Sumitha. The event was graced by the presence of our beloved principal Dr. Sis. Lalitha Thomas who is our guide, leader, and a pillar of support in every action she is indeed a beacon, lighting out minds through her guidance
The judge for the event was Mr. John Peter a theater artist, National level winner for mime arts and who is currently working in Bangalore water supply board as Asst Manger in cadre management taking care of close to 500 employees The main motive of conducting the club activity is to bring out the spirit of the students and to enhance the knowledge in a practical way. The students were grouped in teams in order to make them learn how to coordinate and work together There were totally 5 rounds. Round one was a multiply choice where each team had 3 questions to answer. Round two was pictionary, dumsharats and tagline of companies. Round three was debate where recent topics were given to the teams and each team was given 5 min to discuss and 3 min to talk on the particular topic given to them. Round four was the personality round basically meant for the juniors this round was all about to test their stress level in handling a particular situation
The winners of the club activity were the The Intangibles team and the winners of the personality round was Gracy from 1st M.COM(FA) and M.VOC It was completely a fun filled day with lots of experience and exposure

The fist club activity for the academic year 2021-2022 took place on July 1st 2021. The club activity – Artha Jyoti ‘Finanzas Fiesta’, a series of activities are conducted like Merger Maze, Air Crash and Hide the Product to develop leadership skills, boost confidence & improve qualities required to succeed in long run.

The last club activity of the year 2020-2021 Artha Jyoti ‘COMPETES FETE’ was held on 30th March 2021. The theme of the event was Accounting and Auditing. The objective of the program was to enhance their knowledge in the field of accounting and auditing through Quiz and Balance Sheet Analysis

Event: Club Activity: NOVUS – Giving Wings to Your Imagination

The objective of the program was to enhance knowledge and creative thinking. The event of this month's club activity was Case Study and Product Development & Strategy for the FMCG Sector. It helps students to learn about how a company works and how to develop a product, how to incorporate CSR activities, social responsibilities, how to join hands with the government to help people.

Event: Artha Jyoti 2020 - Technglanz

The department of M.Com (FA) organized its first club activity Artha Jyoti for the academic year 2020 “TECHGLANZ” on 16th October at 2 pm. The objective of the program was to enhance their knowledge in the field of finance, accounts and current trending topics through Quiz and Debate which helped them in gaining knowledge in trending topics in India recently. This club activity was held on online platform Google meet. The team was judged on the basis of how well they can justify their points and defend it against the opposite team.

Event: III Club Activity – Financior

The department organised its third club activity “FINANCIOR” on 20th February at 1.00 PM. The theme of the club activity was “Virtual Trading on Commodity Markets through Bidding”. The judge for the day was Ms. Tara and Ms. Jhanavi from Smart Stream Technology, both an alumni of JNC. In the club, a series of activities were conducted to test student’s knowledge in the field of commodity trading which helped them in gaining knowledge about virtual trading scenario. The judges shared their views on stock market, how the stock market works and how important it is to note even the smallest fluctuation in prices, about the importance of participating in such rounds and how these activities help to build the stage confidence which makes us easy to work in corporate or any field we choose.

Event: II Club Activity on UTHKRISTA – Business Plan Competition

On 30th October 2019, second club activity called UTKRISHTA (means Excellence in pursuing your goal) was organized. The theme for the second club activity was INNOVATIVE BUSINESS PLAN – THINK LIKE AN ENTREPRENEUR. In this era of budding entrepreneurs, there are hundreds of ideas generated every day. Hence keeping this in mind the department of M.Com organized a platform for all the students to present their various innovative business plans. The main drive of this activity was to enhance and improve the level of lateral and creative thinking and also to imbibe the qualities of an entrepreneur among the students.

The Department of M.Com (FA) organised its 1st Club activity for the year 2019 “ARTHA JYOTI” on 28th August at 2PM. The theme of the current club activity is “Emerging Trends in the field of Finance, Banking, Accounting and Auditing”. The world economy is undergoing multidimensional changes in terms of growth and governance. An era of Industrial revolution and technological advances demands the focus on global financial innovation and development. The main persistence of this club activity is to create consciousness on new dimensions in the financial world.
