Research Cell :

To encourage students to think, to bring out their creative potential and to enhance their hands-on experience with the print and electronic media, different publications are brought out. Every year each stream brings out its Student Research Journals 'The Researcher' by the Arts stream, 'Scientia' by the Sciences and 'Samshodhana' by the Commerce department. It is a collection of the best projects done in the college by the students.

Basic Scientific Research projects (both Major and minor projects) are carried out in all the disciplines of the college and include UGC sponsored projects. Both teachers and students are involved in research projects.

Jyoti Nivas regularly holds International, National and State level Conferences, Seminars, Symposia and Workshops, many of them sponsored by the UGC. Every year, a number of our staff present papers at national and international conferences and seminars and several staff members publish papers in reputed national and international journals.

The final year students of the Dept of Communication and Media both B.Voc Visual Communication and Performing Arts and Communicative English successfully produce 4 short films each every year, while the second year students bring out 6 Lab Journals each.

Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous has a vibrant research culture. It resonates with research activity. Both staff and students are almost all actively involved in research or research-related activities; either presenting papers or attending workshops or doing minor research projects or internships in various organizations.
