Jyoti Nivas College along with its academic excellence, also aims to provide career guidance and placements for all streams of students at under-graduate and post-graduate level. It helps the students to face challenging carriers ahead in their chosen fields by providing training and current information's to assist the students in placements.

The entire activities of workshops, seminars, career guidance and final placements are carried on by the placement cell of Jyoti Nivas College.

The placement cell of Jyoti Nivas is headed by Ms.Fouzia Khanum, who works along with the students' team from each discipline. Through daily meetings with the Principal and students, the placement coordinator slots the dates for sessions and for the companies.

The placement training sessions begin in the month of July as dates are slotted for various topics such as:

Resume writing : T.I.M.E conducted session on resume writing which focused on various modes of preparing resumes.

Communication : Career Launcher helped the students to discover themselves, motivated them to identify their goals and helped them get initiated to the corporate world through their sessions of personality development, presentation skills, grooming and communication skills.

Aptitude Test : T.I.M.E Pvt.Ltd. trained to crack many kinds of aptitude test easily. A mock aptitude test was given to students on the spot.

Time Management : RAI Business School conducted sessions on time management where the students got to know how to manage their time efficiently.

Leadership Quality : It featured the role of an eminent leader, the dos and don'ts with examples.

Group Discussion : The tips were given on the dos and don'ts of group discussions, methods on scoring points and various skills judged in the group discussions. A mock GD was also conducted.

Personal Interview : Tips on how to face an Interview were given to the students.

Stress Management : RAI Business School carried out sessions on stress management which covered topics on stress, kinds of stress and various techniques to manage stress effectively.

Career Opportunities : Career Launcher carried out a session on enlightening students on carious career opportunities available to different streams in today's world.

Sessions on entrance exams : T.I.M.E gave a very important session on speed math as well as details on various competitive exams.

Companies start their Campus Ambassador drives in the month of August. Infosys, Teach for India, First source, Earnest and young are a few to mention.

Companies like Global Inc., Virgin mobile, Blue star, HDFC, Axa Life Insurance, IBM, Kotak, Reliance Money, Max life Insurance, Standard Charted so on also come down for recruiting internship programs.

Final placements for the final year students will start in the month of December. The placement officer slots the dates for the companies to visit the college.

The companies on the assigned dates come and start their drives with the company's presentation, profile for which the recruitment is taking place, the salary package, details of interview rounds, etc.
After the presentation the students take up the aptitude test, whoever will clear the test will proceed to the next round of group discussion, personal interview then the Human resource round and finally the officers are made.

Companies like IT, Non-IT, BPO, KPO, Banks, hospitality sections have visited colleges. Goldman Sachs, J.P Morgan, MindTree, Wipro, SAP-labs, Cognizant, Infosys, Accenture, IBM, Reuters, Honey wells, Earnest + Young, Deutsche Bank, TESCO, Target, TCS, Landmark, Wockhard hospital, Oman Airways, Qatar Airways, Indus international school, Christ university, Jyoti Nivas College, Reliance Money, ANZ, Delloittee, MTV, Zee-news, TV-9, Mahaveer Jain College, Tiny-tots, etc are a few to mention where the students are placed.
