Financial aid offered by the College includes

Institutional freeships and scholarships are awarded to the students based on the financial background and needs of the students.

ANTI SEXUAL HARASSMENT CELL
As per the guidelines of UGC, NAAC and the Supreme Court an Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell has been established in Jyoti Nivas College to provide a neutral, confidential and supportive environment for members of the campus community who may have been sexually harassed.
The aims to do the following:

• Deal with cases of discrimination and sexual harassment against women, in a time bound manner, aiming at ensuring support services to the victimized and termination of the harassment.
• Recommend appropriate punitive action against the guilty party.

According to the Supreme Court Guideline Sexual harassment can be defined as "unwelcome" sexually determined behavior (whether directly or by implication) as:

• Physical contact and advances; Demand or request for sexual favours;
• Sexually coloured remarks; Showing pornography;
• Other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature. (Vishaka judgment by Supreme Court)

Composition:
The Committee consists of members of the faculty, administration and civil representatives. The members of the committee for the current academic year are:

GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL AND ANTI  RAGGING  SQUAD CELL
The Grievance Redressal Cell attempts to address genuine problems and complaints of students whatever be the nature of the problem. It makes officials of the college more responsive, accountable and courteous in dealing with the students. It ensures effective solution with an objective and fair approach. The cell redresses the grievances at individual and class level and grievances of common interest. Students are encouraged to use the online portal to express constructive suggestions and grievances.
ANTI-RAGGING SQUAD
The college constitute an 'anti-ragging committee' comprising of faculty members, along with a selected non-teaching staff. The squad is responsible to investigate incidences of ragging in the campus. The squad will be equipped with phone contact of all the students.
