NEP HELPLINE

The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), which was approved by the Union Cabinet of India on 29 July 2020, outlines the vision of India's new education system. The Karnataka government recently announced that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 will be implemented in undergraduate colleges from the new academic year in October 2021, making it the first state in India to do so.

The foundational principles of NEP 2020 are Access, Equity, Quality, Affordability and Accountability. The Policy believes that the education system should develop good human beings with rational thinking, compassion, empathy, courage, resilience, scientific temper, creativity and ethical values. It aims to recognise, identify and strengthen the unique capabilities of each student, promoting holistic development in both academic and non-academic spheres.

Adhering to the guidelines issued by the Government of Karnataka and Bengaluru City University, Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous is implementing NEP 2020 from this academic year. We have established a helpline to counsel students on the new format of the NEP and to help clarify any doubts regarding the programmes being offered.
