25th AND 26th JUNE 2018 - Staff Orientation Programme

1ST AUGUST 2018 - Orientation Day for I year MCA, MBA, MA and M.COM (FA)

Orientation Day marks the beginning for aspiring achievers, upcoming leaders and tomorrow’s CEO’s, software engineers, scientists, accountants, litterateurs and teachers. The opportunity to create one’s own future starts on this day. On this day we welcome our fresher to the JNC family and it help the fresher get acquainted with the tradition and culture of the institute. The orientation programs are designed to guide the students in inculcating and instilling habits that can equip them for their future.

27TH AND 28TH SEPTEMBER 2018 - Jyoti Summit 2018

In its quest to help students nurture their potential, understand various issues and contribute their findings to the world, Jyoti Nivas College has established research as its priority with a vision to build experience and insight into various fields and advance students to higher intellectual terrain through the annual Jyoti Summit.

30TH OCTOBER 2018 - Joy Of Giving-Food Festival

Was organized by the departments of MCA, MBA, M.Com (FA) and English. The joy of giving or the Festival of Philanthropy as it is known is celebrated all over in the month of October. In Jyoti Nivas College, P.G center, it was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the month of October 2018. The post Graduate Department of the college had arranged food festival on 30th October 2018. On that day students contributed towards the fest by pooling in money from their classmates. Students put food stalls on that day. The food fest was the grand success. The amount collected from the food fest was given to poor and the needy person.

12TH JANUARY 2019 - Christmas Celebration

Christmas is the Celebration of love, faith and the bond people share with each other and with the same fervor, on 12/01/2019, a colorful and memorable Christmas celebration was organized by the PG Dept. of Jyoti Nivas College with various events like Dance, Christmas Play, and Carol Singing in the presence of Honorable Director, Sister Lalitha, staff and the students.

The auspicious celebration commenced with the lightning of the lamp by Sister Lalitha and head of all the departments accompanied by the melodious carol.

23RD, 24TH AND 25TH JANUARY 2019 – Annual Sports Day

“Winning is not everything, but making the effort to win is”

The sports events were held on 23rd, 24th and 25th January 2019 between 3:00 p.m. and 5 p.m. The events attracted a large number of participants from the various PG Departments who took part with zeal and enthusiasm to uphold the competitive spirit.

19TH MARCH 2019 - St. Joseph’s Feast

St. Joseph's Feast day was celebrated with much solemnity and vigor on the eighteenth of March at the Jyoti Nivas Postgraduate center. Everything, from the notice boards to the gathering at the PG auditorium was alight with the spirit of the patron Saint of many around the world, including our very own Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes. It gave the sisters great joy to celebrate 175 successful years of the SJT community and more than half a century of the sisters in the service of Jyoti Nivas.

21ST MARCH 2019 - WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION

She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. ‘She’ is a mother, a sister, a friend, a teacher, and most of all, she is you.

International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8 of every year worldwide, commemorating the political, social and economic achievements of women. Over the decades, the objective of Women’s Day celebration has evolved and embraced culture and ethnicity to emerge as a celebration of appreciation, respect and love towards women.

At Jyoti Nivas, a college that has nurtured and sent out into the world multiply empowered women by women who are strong, creative and compassionate, we celebrate women every day.

15TH APRIL 2019 - Thanks Giving mass and Thanks Giving Day

“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
For the Lord is the great God the great King above all gods”. Psalms 95: 1-3

With another semester in the books, there is a lot to be thankful for. Another year has come and gone, and each time it feels like a different roller-coaster ride with it’s high and low moments. The adrenaline that comes with the chaos often clouds our ability to be grateful for everything that happened during the last academic year.

24TH APRIL 2019 - Post-Graduation Day

POST GRADUATE DAY - Post graduate day is a milestone in every student's life; It is also an occasion to come together to celebrate their membership here. The Annual PG Day of JYOTI NIVAS COLLEGE was held in the college premises in a befitting manner on 24 April 2019. It was a day-long program. Presided over by the Director of college, the function was attended by the Principal of the college, and Member of the Nimhans hospital as the chief guest.
