Spiritual & Pastoral Ministry

Value Education is given top priority in JNC and hence it is a part and parcel of our curriculum. Non Christian Students have Value Education classes while Christian students have Religion classes. These Classes are held once a week. The value Education classes aim at teaching students values that are absolutely necessary for right living in a society. The religion/ Faith formation classes are meant to deepen their faith in Jesus, so that they may live better lives as Christians.

Every Month Echuristic celebration for the Catholic staff is organized. And Prayer services are conducted once a week.

The academic year in the college begins with an opening mass. A retreat is also conducted for two days every year. Retreat is the best opportunity for JNC students to spend a time in reflecting on what it means to be a person of faith. The retreats cover themes such as personal gifts, values, moral decision-making and role models of faith as well as scripture and prayer.

The Christian Staff and students, celebrate Christmas at JNC, over a period of over 10 days. The campus had a festive atmosphere with hallways decorated with bells, stars streamers. Activities like a Crib competition and carol singing competition and also a food fest is organized every year. The month long advent ends in a Christmas celebration.

An intercollegiate gospel fest is conducted every year called "EL SHADDAI" in which students from other colleges participate in various activities organized for them all based on biblical themes.

The year ends with a thanks giving mass organized by the committee.
