NCC

National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organisation comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth - 'The Leaders of Tomorrow' - into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The genesis of the NCC can be traced back to the First World War when the Britishers created the University Corps as the second line of defense and to have a large pool of trained youth available for employment into the Armed Forces.

Activities :

The academic year 2011 started with ,23 Cadets attended CATC Doddballapur and 27 Cadets attended CATC Vidhya Nagar. 05 Cadets participated in Local Independence parade at Field Marshal Manekshaw parade ground and won I place in drill competition, where JUO Shruthy C B was the Parade Commander.Cpl Priyanka D S and Cdt Ashika S attended Rock Climbing camp, Gwalior.

JUO Nazisha Haider represented India at Singapore for the Youth Exchange Programme along with 9 members from all over India. During her stay in Singapore from 4th Dec to 13th Dec 2011. She took part in various educational programmes and adventurous activities like kayaking , scuba diving, fox flying etc. She actively interacted with the NCC Cadets from 6 other countries like U.S.A, New Zealand, Thialand, Brunie, Maldives and Singapore.

JUO Shruthy C. B. attended Republic day 2012 in Delhi.

Cadet Ashwini Shanker and Cadet Shaila Sri attended HATC Camp at Command Hospital, Domlur and CDT Ashwini won Ist Place in Pick and Speak Competition.

54 cadets along with ANO and CT went for one day trekking & map reading at Turahalli. 43 cadets participated in Anti Tobacco Rally, 65 Cadets took part in Cancer Awareness Programme, 72 Cadets partcipated in the Marathon for NCC day at Home Guard's Ground and 05 cadets attednded Ex- Service Men Rally 2011
